So i just got down assembling a wedding cake for tomorrow using my new cake stackers system and when i finished and looked down and both my hands and my mom's fingertips looked kinda gray from touching and screwing in all the metal parts. Now i'm afraid the metal dust is all in my cake and it's going to taste like that!! I washed and dried all the pieces before using them so i don't know why their is metal stuff coming off on my hands. I will be soo embarassed if this makes my cake taste bad. What should i do?? icon_cry.gif

I used mine for the first time today, and noticed the same thing on my hands. I'll just die if it tastes awful! Did you get any feedback from yours?

I would think if you washed and dried the stands, it shouldn't be a problem. Are they made of stainless steel or some other metal?

Thanks, Jan, but I just finished reading all 7 pages and nothing was mentioned about the problem the OP is having.
