Hi all,

I recently saw a post about Cake Shooters by Sprinkles
and thought it would be a great to do for my best friend's church anniversary/new church walk through. I am doing these as a gift because I'm just so happy to see what they are doing for the community and because I love them!

Anyway, I will be doing these on Friday or Saturday and I thought they would be fine...until I saw this picture

It doesn't look very appetizing. Does anyone have any idea why they look so wet inside the plastic? I'm afraid to do these too far in advance. I wonder if they'd be OK.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thank you,

to me it looks like they were made and then stacked inside that plastic tube and the cake rounds were not the exact size. it looks like they are rattling around in there and getting messy. I thought it would have been better to make a layered cake and use that plastic tube like a cookie cutter and have the layers all stay inside the tube, plus that way all the layers go in at the same time, that way they will be the exact size and not move, maybe add pretty icing on the very top just under the lid like the top of the cake (since the top in the tube would have been the bottom of your cake)

Just a thought.

Hmmm, OK. Thank you! I didn't think about that. I thought that it could have melted due to being frozen or refrigerated and then started to sweat. They just look awful and I don't want to give anything like that to my friends.
