I need your help. My family has nominated me to make all the desserts for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I would like to start cooking in advance, but I'm not sure where to start. My list consists of box cake and homemade recipes. Can you tell me how far in advance I can start cooking my cakes, where do I store them and how do I keep them moist. Please contact me.
I would guess that if you have a separate freezer, you could start now. Just be sure to wrap them well in clear wrap and then aluminum foil so they won't dry out or get freezer taste.
