Hi there,

I live in England but will be visiting family in Chicago in a month or so and have planned to exchange my usual shoe/clothes/cosmetics shopping spree for a cake decorating spree! I have no idea about cake dec stores in Chicago - can anyone suggest some good stores? Where are they, which stores are best, good value, good range etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks
Alecia

I live in Chicago and I have bought a lot of my materials from Michael's craft stores and hobby lobby. They are mostly Wilton products, but the websites for both offer coupons which makes me very happy.
Too bad you aren't visiting in June. Wilton headquarters is in Deerfield, a suburb, and they do an annual tent sale. It's amazing! Overwhelming and so much fun!

We don't have much. Aside from Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Joann's Fabrics, there is a place called Cakewalk chicago that does classes and sells cake decorating and candy decorating supplies.
