About 5 years ago it seemed that an orange marmalade cake was the rage at weddings we went to. I loved it -it wasn't your sweet orange marmalade cake -this had some depth -like maybe grand marnier. And it was pretty dense. I had it at 3 weddings -all used different bakers for their cakes.
I have hunted for that recipe and haven't found one that seems to be the right one. Anyone have one to share?

Thanks! Those are all pretty close to what I found, but I just know there is a secret ingredient that is missing and I just find it remarkable that I had virtually the same cake at 3 different weddings -so they are all in on the secret.
The cake is a dark golden/orange color.
