THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
every little bit counts.
how bout this idea Im thinking instead of candy bags as a giveaway these in a themed cup with some candies around them to hold them in place??
I was at first thinking of using like a cupcake bouquet or like one of those fruit baskets (ugh i cant think of the company that sells them)....but something along those lines...
any ideas would be greatly appreciated ....sorry OP if Im high-jacking your thread.
they are cute, for sure! I'm just trying to come up with a reasonable price. I won't charge $3 for a tiny bit of cake and icing, just for the novelty of it being in a push pop container. If I knew it would fit a full sized cupcake, which I'm not sure it will, I could charge to cover my expenses and make a little money. But people around here balk at paying $1.00 per cupcake (really!), and those little push pop thingies are already $.50 each, more or less. Oh well, I guess I have some thinking to do!
Maria
How do you make these? Do you have a sheet cake, and then somehow VERY carefully cut out the circular shape? I'm clueless here.
KayMc
I would bake a sheet cake in a cookie pan (ala cake roll style), then turn the tube over and use it as the cutter. Then just push the piece of cake down the tube, add filling, repeat until full.
Theresa
Kay,
I would make sheet cakes, then use the push-pop tube to cut out the circles of cake. The plunger would be good for pushing the cake right out into your hand.
Or you could cut the cake circle and leave it in the tube you used to cut it out and keep stacking with frosting and cake. But that would make a messy edge, which you would have to clean.
Or you could use a round cutter that's the same size as the tube to cut the cake circles.
I would just experiment to find what works best.
Is Sprinkles selling them for $3?
Can't tell yet. I went to the website but the message on the ordering page said it was down for maintenance.
Theresa
Sprinkles Custom Cakes in Florida is selling them, but their ordering portion of their site is down right now, so I can't find the price. I saw the price on a blog talking about them, they were $2.50 or $3.00. Is Sprinkles Custom Cakes the same as Sprinkles Cupcakes?
Maria
no I don't think there the same, the Sprinkles Cupcakes website list locations and there isn't one located in Florida.
I would pay $3 for one...especially for my kiddos looks like it would help with the frosting all over their face and place mess . I think it all depends on location like everything cake
Found these price isn't bad for a quantity of 250

These are definitely cheaper, but they are only 3/4" across. That is pretty small.
I don't think it's the famous Sprinkles.
I think it's another place. Hope they don't get sued. Sprinkles loves to sue.
It's called Sprinkles Cake Shooters

I just discovered these the other day! They are too stinking cute! Perfect for kid parties because I am so over cupcakes! Next time I'm in the Orlando area, I am definitely going to check them out
For those that are buying this or using them all ready....Did you buy the stand as well? How do you present them? I don't think they stand on their own so I was wondering....thoughts?
The bakery I work for is in the process of starting up a line of gourmet cupcakes and giant cookies. I am definitely going to show them this! I think they would be a blast to make and eat!!!
Tori Spelling had them for her daughter's party in a $2.5o pink pail from Target, it seems.

It shows below in the comments.
Can you imagine selling these at a bake sale or for a fundraiser in the school or band colours?? The possibilities are endless.
