I just got a kitchenaid and I"m not sure which attachment to use on Buttercream. Is it the whisk/wire or the paddle attachment? Thank you!

You would use the paddle, the whisk is just for egg whites or whipped cream

Definitely the paddle. If you do a large enough batch to cover the paddle, you can let i go on a medium setting for 15 minutes...........you'll end up with the smoothest, creamiest icing ever with NO air bubbles!

The best present you can get yourself and your new kitchenaid is the spatula-type attachment sold a amazon, sur la table,etc. It eliminates scraping the bowl and allows for continuous mixing.
