I need to know how to make a football helmet I know theres a tutorial but I dont know where to find it I really need help with the face mask I tried to make one and my mask was awful, any help or advice is very appreciated.

use gumpaste or fondant (if you have time for it to dry really well) for the mask and form it around a plastic pitcher to get the right shape.
I use a wilton ball pan for the mask it self. Make the ball cake, slice a little off the bottom so it will sit flat and look to have a flat bottom, then layer other half of ball on top. I let it sit for a while and then carve out a space in the front. for the face hole.
if you need something bigger you will probably have to stack cakes (like 3 9in cakes) and carve all by hand.
