One last question- what else besides water can I use to "glue" my fondant pieces together? Anything that dries super fast?
You can use a glue made from gumpaste and water or tylose and water.
I use tylose powder mixed in warm water. I use about 1/4 tsp tylose powder to 2 Tablespoon of warm water. It will look a little lumpy at first, but after it sits for a little while, it will make a nice clear glue.
Where can I purchase tylose? I don't think they have it at local shops- Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.
I buy my Tylose online. Most of the suppliers carry it.
