I am making a wedding cake with one of the tiers being Lemon Poppyseed. Have never used this flavor cake before. Can someone please give me a suggestion as to what flavor filling will go well.

I will be using buttercream to coat and fondant over. The reception will be outdoors in a garden so must be something that holds up.

Thank you in advance. Love you guys!!!

Well, I'm really a lemon lover, so I would probably put something lemon in there. I've used lemon pudding (Jello brand, the one you cook) as filling for lemon cake before. Or, a lot of people use raspberry with lemon. Now I think I need to make a lemon cake. icon_biggrin.gif

I like lemon and raspberry together.

I think a simple vanilla buttercream would complement the lemon flavour.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Lemon sounds good. Can't get any flavors confused that way. lol.
