So I have a cake in a few weeks, but I am concerned that I am leaving Wednesday before it's due. I have arranged for delivery, but am concerned if the fondant cake will hold if I complete it Tuesday night and it will stay in a empty fridge that will not be opened till Sunday.

My second question is how would you recommend wrapping it?

I haven't committed to making the cake as of yet.

Thanks in advance for your help. icon_confused.gif

When are you actually baking the cake?

If you baked and completed the cake on Tuesday, your cake would already be 5 days old. If you baked before Tuesday you are putting it closer to a week old. Personally if I was buying a cake, I wouldn't want it to be almost a week old because then you really can't have left overs and eat them. (I don't like cake after the 5 day mark.)

If you could freeze it between the time frame then that could be a different story.

I'd probably pass on it though. I wouldn't want to be trying to pack and trying to get a cake done knowing I'll start my vacation off stressed.

I think you need to pass on that order.
