I'm looking for a peanut butter icing that I can smooth out with a paper towel. Any suggestions?

Try this...I haven't used it in a long time but it's really good and I'm pretty sure it crusts well enough to viva it.

2/3 cup vegetable shortening
2/3 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups milk
2 lbs. confectioners' sugar
2 tbs meringue powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
