I am using Sugarshacks buttercream recipe with Ameri Color Super Red gel color, but it still looks orange(ish) to me. Will it darken/brighten if it sits for a while? I am trying to achieve "Elmo" red. Thanks for any advice.

Yep, it will darken as it sits. When I try to achieve a BLACK-BLACK or a really RED-RED I make it the day before.
