Has anyone tried any out of the new book? People didn't seem to care much for her Cake Bible recipes, and I'm wondering if these are any better...

I have done several and they were very good, but I am picky about my cake recipes and analyze them before I bake so I usually get the results I want. Her cakes are light and delicate and I like heavy, dense cakes. I use the book more as a reference and apply her techniques to my recipes. In my opinion, the book is well worth it if you are into the science of scratch baking, which I love.
