icon_cry.gif I have had to redo these fondant pieces several times because the color faded after several days. I used Delphinium Blue (like a baby powder blue) & after a few days it turned more of a greenish blue color. Please help? Do you think I could do the fondant pieces up ahead of time as I was planning, only keep them covered with plastic wrap & in the dark so no light gets to them until I am ready to put them on the cake? I had a flat round piece beside it & the BOTTOM of it hardly changed color at all. Sure hope someone out there in CC world can haelp me with this delima.....please?

Try dusting the pieces with a similar colour. I do this with pink and purple flowers all the time. It really helps to maintain the colour.
I don't know if this works with blue but with purples I add 1 tsp baking soda per pound of fondant. I really helps to keep the colour even in direct sunlight.
