- Well? Please keep us updated. I am curious as to how much they will pay you for 'specialty cakes'- like your farm one and if they are interested in branching out into the custom fondant work. I have a local bakery that wants to hire me for fondant work/cakes but we're not sure how to manage the compensation. Per cake? per hour? How are people getting paid? Right now she is just referring the clients to me directly, but I know that's not what the bakery wants for the long term.
