I have some plain greek yogurt that is about to expire soon. Would I be able to use that in place of sour cream in, let's say, WASC cake??? TIA.

I've never substituted yogurt for sour cream before but I have used it instead of milk in icing and it turned out fabulous!!

I haven't used the WASC recipe before, but I have subbed yogurt for sourcream in my banana cake recipe before and it tasted just fine.

I've subbed yogurt for sour cream and vice versa in many recipes with out any problems or noticable differences.

I just use which ever I have on hand, which is usually the yogurt, since I eat alot of it.
