Im making a cake for my mum and am modeling little shoes out of fondant. Its shop brought fondant and i have used it to cover the cake and was hoping to use the same stuff to make shoes out of. I have a few different colours but am having trouble with them staying floppy and not drying hard. Am i using the wrong thing? can I make the fondant dry out or harden so that the shoe stands up and stops dropping?

thanks in advance

Usually you'd want to use gumpaste for shoes. You can add tylose or gum-tex to your fondant to make it harden like gumpaste. They're both a powder that you would knead in. You'll feel it start to stiffen up and that's how you know you used enough.
