I know someone posted on here before where you can order real chocolate jimmies instead of the ones you can buy anywhere. Anyone have and idea?
Is there such a thing as real chocolate jimmies? Do you have a brand name, or have you seen them before?
For real chocolate, I would suggest finely chopping or shaving real chocolate and use that instead.
There is a company called Dobla who makes all kinds of chocolate decorations. I was looking through their catalog yesterday and came across something called "chocolate spikes". Those could pass for jimmies for sure. You would need to order these through a distributor. Maybe you have a gourmet wholesale foodservice company in your area who would carry something like it?

I did a Google search and came up with these. Hope it helps!

The regular jimmies main ingredient, if not the 1st, is partially hydrogenated oil. Much like most sprinkles. I just like to get away from it when I can.
I'll check out some of these site. Thanks!
I'm sure they would be worth the trouble; back when we bought See's Candy, DD always bought the ones with dark sprinkles and carefully brushed them into the package to top the whipped cream on her hot chocolate later.
