I am looking to order some hi ratio shortening and creme bouquet so I can make sugar shacks buttercream. I just ordered her first dvd and would like to have my buttercream supplies here before the dvd arrives.

I know I can order these items from The Bakers Kitchen but I was wondering if any of you guys know of a supply store near Chicago? Im located in Joliet, which is about a half hour from Chicago.

Thanks all icon_smile.gif

When I first went to GFS, the staff couldn't locate Sweetex or hi-ratio in the computer so I was told it was not available. (Might be listed as "cake and icing shortening".)

However, puzzlegut was kind enough to provide the Sweetex product number, 1080220 (from her GFS order) - and with that info my GFS was able to order it for me.

HTH

They sell 3lbs of Sweetex on amazon.com for $9 which is where I usually purchase it from or a restaurant supply store nearby! Good luck!
