Rhinestones On Cake

I have been asked to do a wedding cake, the picture the bride showed me has rhinestones on it, would that be safe to use them? Maybe, just as long as the servers removed before handing the cake out?

Edible Gems. Several of the supply sites (IE: Global Sugar) carry them or you can cast your own. There are lots of instsructions on here, particularily in the Sugar/candy forum.

I agree, make the edible kind or buy them, but don't put anything that is not edible on it, at least for liability's sake if someone happens to eat one of them.
