I have been asked to do a cake to feed 150 people for an 80th birthday party. My customer would like the number 80 carved out in cake. I was thinking of doing 2 12 x 18 and sitting them side by side to make one large sheet cake (18 x 24), but not sure what size sheets to use to carve the 80 out to go on top. Any suggestions?

your two 12x18 will serve 108, so i would probably carve the numbers out of 12x18 also to get the additional 42 servings (which will probably be a touch more, but you'll be cutting a lot of cake away too, so you'll have plenty)
