Hi everyone, my sons birthday is the 26th and he told me he would like a double chocolate cake( I guess that means very chocolatey, lol) but he would like a cheesecake filling, is there a cheesecake filling that would be sturdy enough to go between layers of cake and also would it be better to cover with chocolate buttercream or ganache? What would be best recipe for chocolate cake and cheesecake filling?

I used a thin layer of real baked cheesecake for filling on a cake and it was REALLY good! Soft cake, cold firm cheesecake! The cake did need to be kept refrigerated.
