Does anyone know what components I would use to do this ? I've seen it done on quite a few cake shows. I'd like to cut out the center of a 16 inch square and put an 8 inch in the center above like it's tiered but have it spin. Any suggestions?

Did you ever figure this out? I want to do something similar for a game show birthday party, with a spinning wheel in the center.. best I have come up with is putting or building a lazy susan on top but that sounds like it would be too heavy.. ideas?

Nope no one ever answered. I was thinking to go to Radio Shack and ask them to help to put together a small battery operated turntable. I decided not to do it. The cake was very last minute anyway so I didn't bother.
