Carrot Cake Cupcake Icing Suggestion???

Which would taste better... buttercream with cream cheese or just a cream cheese icing? I want to fill and ice the top with it. These are for home consumption but want them to be great!

Well it is a matter of personal opinion, but I love carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. So my answer is whatever you like will do.

I think the BC with cream cheese may be just a bit too sweet for carrot cake, which tends to be a pretty sweet cake, I would go with the cream cheese,I feel like it is used traditionally for a reason.
