I need help with some ideas for a wedding cake.

Here's the bride's overall theme for the reception and wedding:

December wedding
Main colors are Brown, Blues & Ivory
Cattails will be centerpieces in large/tall vases
Smooth river rocks
Bouquets for bride and bridesmaids will be ivory roses with some type of greenery.

So no super busy colors except for the splashes of blue here and there.


She doesn't necessarily want cattails or rocks on her cake... that's just the kind of "look" she is going for... I'm having a hard time finding pictures for my inspiration and was wondering if anyone could help me out with either pictures or ideas in general!

HOw about doing a dark chocolate icing, with ivory accents. Wintery, yet elegant....maybe some scroll work in the same dark chocolate icing. Just a thought. I am doing a november wedding, and for the cake its gonna be choc icing with gold ribbon, and accented with fall'ish stuff....

You could do the cattails coming through the cake like the calla lily cake.
