I am creating a patriotic wedding cake for September 11th in celebration of a couples new life and in celebration of a life lost in the World Trade Center. My groom lost his grandfather on 9/11 and they decided to have a celebration of life this year by getting married.

So, the bride has asked me if I can make a cake topper that is interlocking stars (like interlocking hearts) in red and blue. I wanted to see if any of you had some ideas on how to make them, what to make them out of or any other thoughts or design ideas.

Thx, Heather

Something done similar to this (the WM), in royal icing, would be very nice....flipped when dried and duplicated on the back would reinforce the piece as well as making it look nice from either side.
