I just tried baking an 8", 6", 4", and big cupcakes all at the same time. However, the cakes, especially the 6" & 8" were sunken in the middle, and none of them rose as much as normal. Is this from opening the oven early on to check and remove the cupcakes? Is there a way to bake cakes of different size at the same time? Any advice is appreciated!

I think you may have over crowded your oven. I bake different sizes together whenever I can. But I always leave a couple of inches of space around each pan.
