I will be making my third spiderman bust cake but this time the head needs to be edible. I have not yet made anything out of the rice crispie treats but it seems like it would be pretty simple. Is there any reason I couldn't make spideys head our of the treats and dowel it through the cake?

Incase some of you arn't sure, this is the "spiderman bust" cake I am talking about...

I used the foam wig head to make it. But don't see any reason that you couldn't use rice krispie treats to shape the head. I would use a wig head as a reference (unless you are really good at scuplting.) Also, make it on a cardboard base and support it with dowels under it as well as a center dowel.

thanks occther...that is just how I was planning on doing it. I used the wig head last time, but these people asked for the head to be edible. It seems simple enough to use rice crispies, but I always somehow run into trouble with random different things. icon_smile.gif
