You need a program to download videos from youtube to your computer, I use Videoget, I done a search on internet and came up with this free program to download videos to your computer here is the link http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-Download.htm
I haven't tried this program so I don't know what it is like but it says it is simple to use, hope it helps.

When researching problems I was having watching Youtube videos, I found this software: http://www.speedbit.com/video/. Seems straight forward and has instructions and is free.

even easier.....

install real player on your computer.

when it installs it will have a place to check to install a plug for browser that will allow it to download "almost" any video you find anywhere.

I use the real player plug in all the time to download stuff.

works in both FireFox and IE

Doug, if I already have Real Player, is there a way to make this feature work?

open it:

menu Tools

Preferences

Downloading & Recording

check the box in front of: Enable Web Downloading & Recording...

and set preference for how the tab will show (l left mine on the 7 sec pop up)

maybe my version is very old but there was no choice of downloading and recording. Should I try to download a newer version?

Thanks so much Doug. I tried find software to do this for a while but only succeeded in finding virus laden websites. I had no idea it was already on my computer. I actually had the feature already turned on but for some reason never noticed the pop-up...or it wasn't coming on for me...duh me!! I changed my to mouse-over pop-up and it works!
