I need to make a cake with a dark, chocolate brown center layer. How is the best way to get a deep, rich brown color? I wondered if you could wrap it with chocolate clay, but that seems too thick and not flexible enough to cover a cake with.
How do you do it?

I like the color of the Satin Ice Dark Chocolate fondant. It is very nice and rich looking. I have heard of people covering cakes in Modeling chocolate but it may be easier using a modeling chocolate/fondant mixture.
