I know, I know, this is a tricky thing. So far I've been able to avoid any color of purple I haven't just used a real ribbon or dusted a flower to achieve but I just got a cake today that the whole cake is covered in violet fondant....well, a shade between lavendar and violet actually. Anyone out there know how I can do this without the dreaded fade?

Thanx!

I add red to keep it violet and pink to make it purple. Not too much, just drops at a time. Either way, it tends to stay.
