Hi friends,

I need help if you have time! I am baking a 9" round carrot cake for one of the tier's in my son's wedding cake. According to the Wilton guide, that calls for 5 1/2 cups of batter for a 2" high layer. That is the exact amount I put in but it comes to a good 3/4 full. I'm not sure if I should leave it or take some out or even how much to take out.

I got my SPS yesterday icon_biggrin.gif and I really don't want to do anything to goof it up. I remember Leah you saying bake to 4" high.

I would be grateful for any help as I'm waiting to put it in the oven.

Hi Debbie,
I don't know if you will get this in time, but I would just bake it with the full amount of batter. If it is too tall, then level it to the correct height. Hope this helps,
