I need some ideas for a male 80th bday. The customer was somewhat vague and open for ideas. The only thing she said is that she doesn't want a traditional cake with a "80" on top. She also said that he liked to fix things. The cake will need to feed around 25. Male cakes are so hard for me (esp. for one that's 80)!
Thanks!!

A cake for an 80 yr old or a 30 yr old can be the same!!! Since he enjoys/enjoyed
fixing things, do a tool box with the tools. He'd love it, I'm sure! icon_smile.gif

Iw as thinking the same thing, I believe I did a small cake for an 80th bday. Made hammer nails and saw out of fondant. Made a piece of a tape measure out of fondant around the bottom of the cake. It was a fun cake to make!

I am making a very similar cake on Sunday for my Uncle who is turning 80.
His hobby is wood working. I made "boards" of fondant strengthened with Tylose. Even put knot holes in the wood. I have a novelty hammer, saw and screw driver that I will group together.
