I have been asked to make and design a cake for a "Diabetes Anniversary" party and both she nor I have any real ideas yet on how to design the cake. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! she said no special recipe is needed, just that it needs to be buttercream and no fondant... Thanks in advance for any help! icon_biggrin.gif

Is this a party for an organization or for individuals? Possibly the logo for the American Diabetes Association - you could do that on a gumpaste or chocolate plaque or a frozen buttercream transfer. I don't know your piping skills, but add in phrases from the association's website - Changing the face of Diabetes, or something like that! HTH

AThank you and sorry for delay in responding. It was for a friend/individual. Ended up making a large fondant screw on top of the cake with the phrase "screw diabetes." That family has a warped sense if humor!
