Hi Cakers!

I have to step out at the last minute. Currently I have my cake wrapped in food safe plastic so the cake can settle. If I unwrap the cake and leave in a cake box so that the wetness and condensation can dry off, will it be ok. I am going to be out for about 7 hours?

What do you think??

Leave the plastic wrap on the cake. It will be fine when you get back. IMO

I wouldn't leave the cake unwrapped in the open for 7 hours. It is the air that will dry it out. Now if it was crumb coated that would be a different story.
