Hi everyone! I'm doing a cake for a former student of mine and she sent me this picture, wanting the flowers in gumpaste. The problem is, I cannot figure out from this picture what the flowers are! Can anyone help? Thanks very much!

look at the flower in the front corner..on bottom tier.

they could be orange poppies. especially with those dark centers.

Poppies are my guest. I did red one that look just like them.

I also think that they are Poppies I googled and saw some that looked like that.

I agree with Tesso. They look like the decorator just messed up the color on some cherry blossoms.

And then there is the ever popular 'fantasy flower'

Thanks everyone! I'm inclined to think they are poppies too, but I just heard from her and she didn't know what they were, just liked the color. She now wants orange Hibiscus for the flowers. Whatever.

bobwonderbuns, the flower look's like a Anemone.

I know, it's hard to tell from that picture. She wasn't sure what it was either, just that she liked the contrasting royal blue and dark orange motif. I appreciate all the help!!

Well that's just great, now she wants orange flowers "exactly" like the picture. I told her it's not going to happen, replications NEVER look like the picture. So we settled on a fantasy flower along the lines of the Anemone flower. Sheesh!!

Well I did the cake today and it looked great. Bride and everyone were very happy with it. If this photo glitch ever gets fixed I'll post a picture. I did fantasy flowers along the lines of the anemone flower. Thanks for all your help!
