I was wondering, I have to do a big benifit later this month can I go ahead and work on it and it still be good on the 28th. No one is going to eat it, it will just be for looks, and will be covered in fondant. Thanks for any info

good luck scultping with RKT. I hate them. Then someone told me to quit trying to make my own and buy them. I suggest buying them to save some headache.. and since no one is eating them, Make it now. it wont matter, especially since it will be covered in fondant.

I've found that by reducing the butter (use butter not margarine) by half the amount called for or omitting it altogether, and reducing the marshmallows by 1 cup (per batch) that they work better for sculpting. I also use a gloved hand to crush the cereal into a fine 'meal' rather than leave them puffed. By doing this they are much smoother when covering with fondant.
