I've been looking for a true, vibrant red to color royal icing for making roses and rose buds. None of the reds I've found in any cake decorating supply store is a really, true, vibrant red. How do I achieve this color? Most of the reds I've found so far just don't look that good. I appreciate any help you can provide in this area. Thanks in advance. icon_sad.gif

I like Chefmaster... I think it's called Vivid Red, but really, any red will turn out red as long as you use enough.

I always find that the reds will always be more vibrant after they dry...and of course, you do have to use a lot of any red.
