Hi I'm making a cake for a birthday tomorrow, it'll be two tiers. I plan on frosting it tonight with DH canned frosting. Do you guys recommend me keeping it in the fridge over night??

Also, once the frosting is hard would I be able to stick fondant pieces onto it?

thanks (:

You don't need to refrigerate canned frosting.

Does canned frosting get hard?

I would refrigerate it if it's warm in your house. You can stick fondant pieces on it, but they may slide down.

Here's my favorite frosting recipe It doesn't need to be refrigerated either. It's a crusting buttercream so it's easier to smooth.
