Good Morning Everyone!

My daughter wants to have cupcakes at her wedding but also wants a cake to cut. We found a giant cupcake pan that has the top and the bottom in one pan. My question is what would you use as the wrapper for the big cupcake? We tried a doily (sp) and she didn't like that at all. Should we leave it be with no wrapper?? I just don't like the naked look of it! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Many people "pipe" a wrapper with a big tip, or make a wrapper with fondant.

Some even "Paint" the pan with chocolate to make a shell, then sit the cake in that.

I have made a wrapper with a doily before, you just have to tailor it really well so it's nice and neat.

If you are using the Wilton metal pan....I suggest you bake the two parts seperately. The top gets done WAY before the bottom...
