I have a request for a cake frosting that uses no butter, no powdered sugar can use granulated and no eggs. Any suggestions?

Can you use whipped cream? Maybe a stabilized whipped cream?

Lots of butter in whipped cream. I am at a loss here without the powdered sugar.

Is that even possible? You could do a chocolate ganache, maybe....

you can always try a vegan bc:

1/2 cup soy margarine, softened
1/2 cup soy milk, or rice milk, or any other non-dairy milk of choice
3 cups granulated sugar + 3/4 cup cornstarch ( vegan version of PS)
1 1/2 t. vanilla

You should find out why they asked what they did...no PS but they can use sugar? So are they allergic to cornstarch? Or butter?
