So lets start with the basics...

I am making a cake for a birthday party to be held in NC on Saturday August 14. I live in MD and will be driving to NC on Friday August 13. Unfortunately I will not have a kitchen to use until 2 hours prior to the party!! So I was thinking about pre-baking the cakes and feezing for a few days. Then I was going to transport them down in cooler (un-inced and not decorated). I would then ice and decorate before the party. Therefore, the cakes will be in the cooler for over 24 hours.

Will this work? Ideas are greatly appreciated.

They should be fine, even left out of the cooler.
