What Is Better To Stiffen Fondant-Tylose Or Gum Trag?

Let me first say that I do not know the difference between these two ingredients & if anyone can tell me, I would be grateful. I have a Criuct Cake & some say to add Gum Trag & others Tylose to fondant & then roll thin & leave overnight & then cut.
Which is better or are the results going to be the same?

Tylose is a brand name for CMC. It works immediately when added to fondant or gum paste. Gum trag is more expensive, needs to rest in the product for 24hrs., and loses it's effectiveness (as a dry powder) over time.
