Hi all!

I have a cake due in a couple weeks and I am playing around with a few ideas. I want to do diamond cuts outs in fondant. Like the bottom tier of this cake I made for my son....

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_1692197.html

However, the cake that is due in going to be only 1 tier cake. 10" round with BC icing. All I have ever seen with these diamond cut outs are used in tiered cakes of 2 or more tiers.

Has anyone done the diamond cut outs on only a single tier? I have done a search on this on CC, but only the diamond impression pics come up or at least 2-tier cake with diamond cut outs are shown??

I would like to see a visual of this....

Thanks,
Michael

Just adjust the diamond size to the size of your cake, or just have one row of diamonds (not wrapping over the top)

Search "argyle" in the gallery, there are several single layer ideas on there. icon_smile.gif
