I really need Help!
I am doing my first wedding cake! The Bride wants a Buttercream Frosting covered in Decorating sugar(also known as Sparkling Sugar).

very much like this wilton cake. but this cake uses Fondant.

How would I cover buttercream with the course sugar?
do I use piping gel over a crusting buttercream and then attach the sugar? or do i try and attach it directly to wet buttercream? has anyone ever done this?

Apply it to the still "wet" buttercream - the sugar will stay in place as the buttercream crusts.
