Have U Used Airbrush Colors 2 Paint On Fondant/gumpaste?

I know probably a dumb question but have any of you tried to use the colors (with a paint brush) directly on your fondant/gumpaste? I have some colors that are approaching their exp date but I am mostly concerned with it being to liquidy and not drying as easily as painting with diluted (with alcohol) gels pastes. I'd hate to throw them away.

I love using my airbrush colors to paint with. I've even painted on buttercream with them. I love the fact that they are already thinned down and they dry fine for me.

Unfortunately, I never had luck with it...don't know why. I always get lots of streaks. Maybe there is something wrong with my bottle? Anyone had the same problem?
