I have an order for a diabetic.. and they need a sugar free cake mix and icing. Do stores sell these products yet, or are they made from scratch?
I am in Ontario, Canada - if anyone knows a store that sells either or!
Thank you!!

I work in healthcare foodservice and have the luxury of ordering a decent sugar free cake mix. Since I don't think that much of the sugar free icing mix I can order I make it using this recipe:

It's delish and many folks who try it don't realize it's sugar free!

I once used Pillsbury's Reduced Sugar Cake Mix. But if you can, I would experiment with a scratch recipe and use Splenda.

I just found a few recipes on here after checking out the one above! Thank you.
A lot of the comments seemed to be a fail. lol Like trying to mix pizza dough! icon_razz.gif
I'm hoping a store close by sells a mix...
The icing recipe you sent sounds very good, with the cream cheese though, what kind of cake do you usually do with it?
And would I add Chocolate pudding for chocolate icing? hehe..

I used a white sugar free cake mix but didn't exactly make a cake per se...

I had alot of fun with these.

What was the cake mix called, and what kind of icing did you use?

I used the diabetic cream cheese icing (link in prev post) and a brand called "Med-Diet" for the cake. (Med-Diet makes alot of sugar free items we use in healthcare) I love doing things like this for my residents, wish I had more time to do more. icon_rolleyes.gif Darn work, gets in the way of all the fun stuff!
