Do any of you folks out there have the beater blade? I was thinking about getting one for my 6qt Kitchen Aid, but wasn't sure if its really worth the $30???

Love mine, too!! Sometimes after beating my cake batter , I have to take a knife and clean some dry bits off where the rubber is attached to the frame. Nothing major, I just fold them in before I pour into the pans.

Beater Blades are awesome, but make sure not to use them for anything too firm or they will crack. Side Swipes seem to be made from metal (Beater Blade is plastic-y) and are maybe a bit sturdier.

Either way, they are both great timesavers. Definitely recommended!

LOVE the Beater Blade and haven't used my old one since! Definitely worth the $$. Here's a quick review with pics if you're interested icon_smile.gif.

I have a K5 mixer where the bowl comes up meet the top, not the top lifting -- would the beater blade fit on that kind of unit?

Mine is a 5qt bowl lift model as well. I think there are different Beater Blades depending on the model & size of your KA, so you just need to find the right one icon_smile.gif.

Edited to add: To OP, I have a 6 qt. KA too and it works beautifully.

Love, love LOVE my beater blade. But I have the beater blade pro, the yellow one, and supposedly it holds up better than the original version. So far, so good. I LOVE it!

I have one for my 4 QT mixer and love it. I recently got a 6Qt mixer and since I am use to using the beater blade I forgot to scrap the bowl! Now I am online purchasing one for my 6Qt.

Get the yellow professional beater blade...it will NOT crack.

I use it for all my cake batter and even cookie dough! I had to stop using it for buttercream because it does tend to add more air to the buttercream.

I love it. Its also under a year warranty and they replace it if it does happen to break.
