Hi,

I have made a black gumpaste shoe and need to fill in a few small gaps with something black.

I had thought about buying the premade wilton squeezy black icing in the tubes, will this work and dry hard enough or is there a better way?

I really dont need much of whatever is needed to clean the show up.

any ideas appreciated

Thanks

Brian

My advice would be to use black royal icing to pipe into the cracks. I've never used the Wilton squeeze icing, so I don't know anything about it and how hard it dries.

I would add black food color to a small amount of gum paste, and fill in the cracks with some on your finger, smooth it out with your finger. That's what I do, and it comes out great.
